1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp cloves, powder 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 tsp ginger 1/4 cup butter 1 tsp cinamon 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp nutmeg 2 cups flour 1 to 2 cups Applesauce 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Cream sugar and butter. Add spices and eggs. Add applesauce. Combine nuts and raisins with one cup of flour and add to mixture. Add remaining flour. Bake at 275o in a loaf pan for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until done.
